Announcements

Attention Senior Parents:
There are two events to which we wish to draw your attention.
First, the Santa Fe College Night with over 70 colleges represented

will be held Wednesday, September 22 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
i
n the Santa Fe gymnasium.
Second, the BHS counselors wish to invite you to their Senior Seminar

for Parents on Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 7:00 p.m. It will start in the Building 8

cafeteria. All senior parents are welcome.

On Tuesday, September 7th, Buchholz will be adding 23
new academic class sections to the master schedule.
These new classes will lower class size to comply with
state mandated restrictions, as per law. BHS has made every
effort to minimize these changes when possible. However,
there are a very large number of students that will receive a
schedule change on this date. These changes must be made
to keep BHS in compliance with state law. We appreciate your
understanding in this process. Please read the letter from Dr. Boyd,
Superintendent of Alachua County Public Schools, for more information.

Parents,
This week, your students will be receiving important information
from the Alachua County Health Department regarding the community flu
 prevention program. All Buchholz students
are eligible to receive a free
seasonal flu mist nasal spray.
This is a safe and effective way of helping
to protect your student from the flu. Please ask your student for this
important information
so you can fill it out and return it to the front office

at Buchholz. You can either accept or decline this free flu mist spray for
your student; however, we are asking that all students return the forms
to the main office. Any student returning the form will receive a coupon
for a free ice cream. All forms must be returned to school by October 1st.
Please ask your students for this important information so
you can review it and send it back to BHS.

School Photos
are next week. Seniors will be on Tuesday,
September 7th, Juniors will be on Wednesday, September 8th,
Sophomores will be Thursday, September 9th, and Freshmen
will be on Friday, September 10th. Bring your check for SWI
and your smile. Check with your English teachers for order forms.

The Buchholz High School administration, faculty, and staff
would like to welcome all students to the 2010-2011 school year.
We would also like to remind you that all students must comply
with the new school district uniform policy, beginning on the very
first day of school (Monday, August 23).
Students not in uniform
will be disciplined according to student code of conduct.
Information
on the district uniform policy can be found at the district website at:

Questions about Class rings, Graduation Announcements or Cap and Gown orders?
 Visit   www.herffjonesnorthflorida.com
This is a great way for the students and parents to stay up-to-date with order and
delivery dates for Rings and Graduation supplies. Also parents can always know
the balances on items that have been purchased.

In addition to ordering, parents can make payments on Rings and Graduation
supplies prior to delivery dates. Less worry for parents sending cash to the
school with their students and assurance that the balances are paid.

Don't want to miss out on important dates and reminders?
Then preregister your email address on the website.
